According to the officials, around 9,65,565 candidates are elected for stage 2 computer based test scheduled to begin from December 12 to 14, 2018. RRB ALP 2018 Tie Breaking Procedure
If two or more applicants secure the same number of marks, their position of merit will be decided on the basis of age. The tie-breaking procedure will be adopted at the time of document verification and empaneling of candidates. Therefore, the candidate who is senior in age will be placed higher in merit than the younger applicant.

The first CBT of RRB ALP consists of 75 objective type questions from Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science and General Awareness and Current Affairs. The score of the first stage CBT will only be used to shortlist candidates for the second stage as per their merit.

RRB ALP Result 2018 of Second Stage CBT
The second stage CBT comprises two parts – Part A and B. Part A of Second Stage CBT will carry 100 questions from Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, Basic Science and Engineering and General Awareness on Current Affairs. Part B is a trade based test. Candidates are required to qualify both the parts by securing the prescribed qualifying marks. However, only the marks obtained in Part A will be considered to select candidates for next stage i.e. document verification for Technician posts and CBAT for ALP Posts. Part B of Second stage CBT is qualifying in nature.
RRB ALP Result 2018 of CBAT – Only for ALP Candidates
Candidates equal to 8 times the number of ALP vacancies are called for CBAT. This test carries 5 test batteries and candidates are required to qualify each test batteries. CBAT have questions and answer options only in English and Hindi. There are no negative marks for CBAT. Candidates qualifying this test are called for document verification.

The final result of RRB ALP will be declared after completion of document verification. Candidates will be shortlisted for subsequent exam stages after the result for the previous stage has been declared. On the basis of marks obtained in the first stage, exam candidates will be shortlisted for RRB ALP second stage exam. After the conduct of second stage CBT, candidates having selected Technician posts will be called to appear for Document Verification and medical test while ALP candidates will have to clear additional Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) to be able to partake in document verification/ medical examination. During document verification, candidates will have to produce all relevant documents required for the process after which they will need to undergo a medical test. Subject to qualifying the two stages, final merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks secured in Part A of second stage CBT and CBAT (for ALP candidates). Candidates whose roll numbers are present in the final merit list will be recruited for the concerned posts. Although Railway Recruitment Boards conducts the various stages of the exam, the function of RRBs is to provide names of suitable candidates to Zonal Railway/ Unit who will finally issue appointment letter to candidates for recruitment to the applied posts. After candidates have been recruited for the posts, they will have to take training in the specific post.
RRB ALP Cut off 2018
The cutoff of RRB ALP 2018 will be decided by Railway Recruitment Board for each stage of the exam on the basis of RRB ALP result 2018. RRB ALP cutoff 2018 will be determined based on the total number of applicants, vacancies available for the particular positions, the difficulty level of exam, categories of candidates, etc. Candidates securing more than or equal to the cutoff in Second Round Part A and Computer-Based Aptitude Test (AT) combined will be called for document verification. The total number of candidates called for document verification will equal the number of vacancies available. Additional 50% applicants of the total posts available will also be invited to participate for the same. However, the additional candidates will be considered for the post if vacancies remain after granting posts to all candidates in the merit list.
